Christmas programme for the Rasa Sayang Resort in Penang. They brought us
up for a poolside show on Christmas Eve, stayed overnight and the
following night, and spent Christmas Day with our partners lazing by the
pool. Main memories are of a manic eyed F&B manager, me having a run
in with the sound technician who didn't seem to know how to operate a
mixing desk but claimed he did, and the fact that ten minutes before we
were due to start the show a massive thunderstorm descended. We ended up
doing the rain lashed show in the coffee house with streams of rainwater
flowing all over the place. I think we were all chuffed at the fact
that we got a holiday, all expenses paid, got to sing and got paid for
that as well!! Life felt very fair...
